Ashley is the beloved pet of a friend's mother. This portrait was done as a Mother's Day present from her adult children. Although Ashley's eyes are now cloudy, I painted them brown as they were when she was younger.
Sandy is a graduate of The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. She has won awards in numerous jury shows and has had four solo exhibitions in New Jersey and Maryland. Sandy has been painting portraits of family pets, domestic animals, and wildlife in oil or colored pencil for 25 years. She currently lives with two dogs, three cats, three koi, and her husband, Max.
